Luxury Country House Bed & Breakfast near Loch Awe, Argyll Scotland - Maps & Directions:
Directions to Roineabhal Country House.
A warm welcome awaits you, 6 miles south of the village of
Taynuilt, and a mile from the shores of Loch Awe, the longest loch
Take the small winding single track road (B845) through the magical woods of Glen Nant. Once approaching the Kilchrenan village sign you will see the Roineabhal house sign on your left, with our drive leading through the wooden ranch-style entrance.
Glasgow International Airport runs daily scheduled flights from London, Europe and throughout the world. It is roughly 88 miles, and a 2 -2 ½ hour drive. Otherwise, if driving from Edinburgh airport which is roughly 118 miles, it will take approximately 3 hours.
Hiring a car is really essential to see the more scenic and cultural parts of Scotland, but for those who are afraid of driving and would like a completely out of this world experience, Lord Gray of ‘Tailored Tours’ (www.tailoredtoursonline.co.uk) can pick you up at the airport and give you a guided tour while on your way here to Roineabhal. He organises unique tours throughout Scotland and is based in Taynuilt.
From Glasgow take the A82 and follow the banks of Loch Lomond until you meet Tarbet where you have two options -
1) Go straight on, following signs for Arrochar and Inveraray. Follow the road to Inveraray where you should turn right (through the archway) onto the A819, signposted to Oban.
2) Turn right onto the A82 towards Crianlarich and Tyndrum. Then follow the A85 towards Oban, taking a left turn shortly before Taynuilt village onto the B845 for 5 miles to Roineabhal.
From Edinburgh follow the directions to Stirling and head to Crianlarich on the A84 through Callander. From Crianlarich, the directions are the same as above.
We can accommodate up to 10 cars in the car park which is only a few steps to the front entrance.
